Introducing SRFACE surf gloves

Looking for the best surf gloves? Winter is officially in full effect. Water temperatures across Europe are dropping and you better get ready to embrace the cold. The winter season does come with some advantages: It brings us bigger and more consistent swells and usually thins out the crowds, as warm weather surfers prefer to stay back home by the fire.

On the other side, we immediately feel that the fight against the colder water requires more and more energy as your body tries to prevent hypothermia. So why not give your body a helping hand? We’d like to introduce our new SRFACE Accessories, including everything you need to withstand the cold.

Introducing SRFACE surf gloves

SRFACE SURF GLOVES

Introducing SRFACE surf gloves. The world’s first affordable neoprene gloves that have all the features you need, and none you don’t. Offering uncompromising warmth without breaking the bank. Cold hands are one of the first signs of your body cooling down and they also considerably restrict your surfing abilities. On top of that, if you’ve ever tried to jam your (car/bicycle/house) keys in its keyhole after a session with frozen fingertips, you know that this is a nearly impossible task. SRFACE offers a wide range of gloves, differentiating in style and thicknesses to help you get through the winter.

3MM SURF GLOVES

Gloves offer warmth and allow you to keep the ability to move your 5 fingers separately. This 3mm surf glove is the least thick variant in our collection, exactly what you need to stay comfortable when surfing in chilly/windy conditions or in early winter days. Our 3mm SRFACE surf gloves are made of Japanese limestone neoprene, offering flexibility and durability. The inside is lined with quick drying plush insulation, providing warmth and comfortability. The surf glove comes with a grip layer on the inside of the palm and fingers, so you can hold onto your board even in the most extreme conditions.

SURF GLOVES

Another pair of surf gloves but increasing the stakes with 2 more mm’s of neoprene. If you tend to cool down quickly or if you’ll be surfing in seriously cold conditions, a pair of these are fundamental. Our 5mm SRFACE surf gloves are made of Japanese limestone neoprene, offering flexibility and durability. The inside is lined with quick drying plush insulation, providing warmth and comfortability. The surf glove comes with a grip layer on the inside of the palm and fingers, so you can hold onto your board even in the most extreme conditions.

5MM LOBSTER GLOVES

Some argue that lobster gloves offer the best of two worlds. The unique design still allows you to move the separate grouped finger clusters independently and provides extra warmth. Our 5mm SRFACE lobster surf gloves are made of Japanese limestone neoprene, offering flexibility and durability. The inside is lined with quick drying plush insulation, providing warmth and comfortability. The lobster glove comes with a grip layer on the inside of the palm and fingers, so you can hold onto your board even in the most extreme conditions.

5MM SURF MITTENS

If warmth is what you’re looking for, surf mittens will get the job done. By grouping 4 fingers together these mittens use your natural body heat, maximizing thermal efficiency. Another plus side is that the shape of the mitten allows the wearer to ‘catch’ the water more easily while paddling, thereby they boost your paddle speed. Our 5mm SRFACE surf mittens are made of Japanese limestone neoprene, offering flexibility and durability. The inside is lined with quick drying plush insulation, providing warmth and comfortability. The surf glove comes with a grip layer on the inside of the palm and fingers, so you can hold onto your board even in the most extreme conditions.

7MM MITTENS

Our 7mm SRFACE surf mittens. They always advise you to pick your battles wisely but these mittens will withstand even the most extreme of colds. Our 7mm surf mittens are made of Japanese limestone neoprene, offering flexibility and durability. The inside is lined with quick drying plush insulation, providing warmth and comfortability. The surf glove comes with a grip layer on the inside of the palm and fingers, so you can hold onto your board even in the most extreme conditions.

WHAT SURF GLOVE TO CHOOSE?

When deciding which pair of neoprene gloves to go for, it is important to keep two things in mind: Thickness and design. You’ll want a thickness that is compatible with the water temperatures at your home break. Secondly, design: This largely depends on your personal preference. Generally the mittens are perceived to be the warmest of the three. The glove is a little less warm but provides you the option to move your fingers separately, which some people prefer. The lobster glove is a blend between the two wherein warmth and freedom of motion meet each other in the middle. Looking for personal advice?
