SRFACE Wetsuits

Stay warm with SRFACE during winter surf

If you’re planning to surf through the colder months, you’ll want a wetsuit that delivers reliable warmth and comfort. The SRFACE winter wetsuits for men are designed to handle cold water conditions while keeping you flexible and protected in the lineup. With 5/4mm and 6/5mm options, including hooded styles, these suits give you the insulation you need for everything from short winter sessions to long days in chilly surf.

Be ready for cold water with SRFACE

Each winter wetsuit for men is made from limestone neoprene and lined with recycled thermal fabric to retain heat while staying flexible. Seams are glued, blind stitched, and reinforced with internal taping to help keep water out and extend durability. All suits feature a chest zip for a secure, comfortable fit that’s easy to get in and out of even in cold, windy conditions. If you’re unsure which thickness to go for, the winter thickness guide can help you choose the right option based on your location and surf season.

Sustainability from start to finish

SRFACE wetsuits are built to last, and made with sustainability in mind. From eco-friendly materials to carbon-offset shipping, every part of the process is considered. We also use recycled packaging to reduce our environmental footprint. Additionally, sustainability guides every internal decision we make as we use the Planet-Quality-Price framework.

FAQ's

FAQ

Most winter surfers prefer a 5/4mm or 6/5mm wetsuit for colder waters. The 5/4 is usually used around 8-10°C while the hooded alternative is used in water temperature around 4-10°C. The 5/4 hooded wetsuit is the go-to choice for most European surfers during mid-winter surf sessions, as a lot of heat can be lost through the head when duck diving. For the real die-hards that surf subzero conditions in northern Europe or conquer winters in Scotland and Ireland, a 6/5 mm or even 7 mm wetsuit isn’t a bad idea. In the extreme cold conditions, we recommend pairing your wetsuit with accessories such as boots or gloves.

No, not necessarily. In very cold conditions (below 10°C / 50°F), wearing a hood is highly recommended, as a significant amount of body heat is lost through the head when duck diving. However, the hood doesn’t always have to be attached to the wetsuit. You can pair a regular 5/4 wetsuit with a separate neoprene hood, offering more flexibility to adapt your setup to a wider range of temperatures. Just note that an attached hood generally provides a better seal against cold water flushing.

You can use our intuitive Size Finder tool. Input your body height, weight, chest and waist size and we’ll recommend the perfect wetsuit size. Sizes are body sizes, not garment dimensions. If you have multiple matches in the Size Finder, choose the smaller size for a snug fit and less water entry, or the bigger size for more comfort and getting in and out of your wetsuit easier. All body types are different, the size chart is a guideline only.

Measuring tips:

  • Body height- Measure your height in a straight line from flat ground to the top of your head.
  • Chest size- Measure around the widest part of your chest, just under your armpits at the nipple line.
  • Waist size- Measure around your waistline, just above your belly button and below your rib cage.
